Hand-bound notebook, made with 100% silk charmeuse and hardwood. Silk is hand-dyed with natural dye extracts, then quilted and hand-stitched onto hardwood covers. Notebook pages are hand-bound using coptic stitching. This style of book binding allows for the book to lay open flat, ideal for sketching and writing across the entirety of the page.
COCHINEAL dye extract is derived from the Dactylopus Coccus scale insect that feeds on the nopal cactus in the deserts of Mexico, Peru, Chile, and the Canary Islands. Cochineal extract's use has been recorded for 2000 years, and is now used as a natural colorant in food, drugs, and cosmetics. IRON shifts this dye to purple tones.
CANARYWOOD is a hardwood sourced from Central and South America
