Journal-sized 6"x8" - Weld + Iron Swirl Silk on Canarywood w/ Emerald Stitching

Hand-bound notebook, made with 100% silk charmeuse and hardwood. Silk is hand-dyed with natural dye extracts, then quilted and hand-stitched onto hardwood covers. Notebook pages are hand-bound using coptic stitching. This style of book binding allows for the book to lay open flat, ideal for sketching and writing across the entirety of the page. 

WELD dye extract is derived from the Reseda Luteola blooming plant with characteristic spiky leaves and yellow flowers. Native to Europe and West Asia, this biennial plant has been used in ancient tapestry weaving dating back to 1,000 BCE. This dye yields a range of vibrant yellows. IRON will shift color to grey/greens, and tans.
